Arc-Flash-1An arc flash is a type of electrical explosion that results from a low impedance connection to ground or another voltage phase in an electrical system.

NFPA 70E requires an evaluation of the arc flash hazard level at each piece of electrical equipment. It also calls for a clear posting of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to work on each piece of equipment while energized.

Allegheny Field Services can evaluate the arc flash hazard levels on the equipment at your facility and take preventive steps to ensure that you are compliant with NFPA 70E.
